Terms of Sale and Use
Effective 20 September 2026. These terms apply to the Written in the Stars service supplied by Astronova.
Supplier information
Astronova, a registered company in South Africa, trading as Written in the Stars. For customer support, business correspondence and legal notices, email Astronovaza@gmail.com.
The product
The product is one personalised, animated seven-scene web card and a private shareable link. It is a digital service, not a physical card, downloadable file or subscription. The order summary states the full price and currency before payment. PayPal processes payment.
Review, payment and delivery
The purchaser can review and edit the recipient details, message, theme and preview before checkout, and can leave checkout without paying. Delivery occurs after PayPal verifies payment, when the purchaser is redirected to the private watermark-free card link. Please contact us promptly if delivery fails.
Your information and authority
You confirm that submitted information is accurate and that you have permission to provide and share the recipient's information and message. For a recipient under 18, you confirm that you are the parent, legal guardian or other competent person authorised to consent. Do not submit confidential information that is unnecessary for the greeting.
Acceptable messages
You remain responsible for your message. You may not use the service for harassment, threats, unlawful discrimination, fraud, impersonation, infringement, sexual content involving minors, malicious code or any unlawful purpose. We may suspend access to content that creates a legal, security or safety risk.
Private links
The card link functions as an access key. You are responsible for sharing it only with intended recipients. We cannot prevent access by a person to whom you or the recipient forwards the link.
Personalised digital product and refunds
The card is created to the purchaser's specifications and delivered digitally. Change-of-mind refunds are generally unavailable after successful delivery. Duplicate charges, non-delivery and material technical faults are handled under our Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms removes a right that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act, ECTA or other applicable law.
Astrology and content
Zodiac and astrology content is provided for entertainment and personal reflection. It is not medical, psychological, financial, legal or other professional advice, and no prediction or outcome is guaranteed.
Intellectual property
The app, artwork, layouts, writing system and brand remain owned by or licensed to Astronova. The purchaser receives a limited, non-exclusive right to view and share the purchased card for personal, non-commercial use. The purchaser retains rights in their original personal message and grants us permission to process it solely to provide and support the card.
Availability and liability
We aim to keep cards available and correct faults within a reasonable time, but networks and third-party services may be interrupted. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss. Our responsibility is not limited where doing so would be unlawful.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by South African law. Contact Astronovaza@gmail.com first so we can try to resolve a complaint. Consumers may also use remedies available through PayPal and applicable South African consumer-protection bodies.
